Job summary

Prospera, a mission-driven nonprofit, is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to lead advanced maintenance across our housing portfolio. You will perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural work, troubleshoot complex issues, and mentor junior technicians to uphold safety and quality standards.

Reporting to the Regional Maintenance Manager, you will manage preventive maintenance, conduct inspections, support regulatory compliance (HUD/TDHCA), and coordinate with Property Staff on

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in property maintenance or related field.
• License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Certifications: HVAC, electrical, plumbing; EPA 608; OSHA 10.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced maintenance tasks including electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Conduct HVAC maintenance and repairs independently.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Inspect properties regularly to identify issues early.
• Train and mentor junior maintenance staff.
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Complete unit make-readies for leasing; move-out inspections and prep.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
