Job summary

Prospera Housing Community Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform a broad range of maintenance tasks across our properties. The role requires independent work and team collaboration to ensure units, amenities, and systems meet safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in property maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to complete OSHA/ EPA certifications within 90 days while maintaining records and supporting on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in property maintenance or a related field.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Certification within first 90 days.
• EPA certification (and CPO certification if required) within first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate maintenance tasks, including basic electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems with limited supervision.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Assist in training Maintenance Technician I staff.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Complete unit make-readies and prep for leasing.
