Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced Service Manager in Houston, TX to oversee an apartment community’s physical property, perform maintenance, and lead make-readies and rehab projects. You will supervise maintenance staff and may cover groundskeeping and pool duties as needed.

The role reports to the Community Manager and Regional Maintenance Supervisor, with responsibilities including scheduling, safety training, budgeting, and coordination with vendors and contractors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Five years of multi-family maintenance experience preferred.
• EPA Section 608 HVAC certification required.
• CAMT and CPO certifications preferred or required.
• Boiler/plumbing/mold detection training is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance activities for apartment community and staff.
• Coordinate, schedule, and respond to work orders.
• Prepare vacant units for move-in and ensure readiness.
• Provide safety and skills training for maintenance staff.
• Identify and correct hazardous conditions.
• Manage maintenance budget and supplies.
• Oversee preventative maintenance and equipment servicing.
