AlphaStaff, Inc. is seeking a Field Property Adjuster Specialist for Las Cruces, NM. This field-based role focuses on investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling complex property insurance claims with a virtual-first inspection approach.

The candidate should live in Las Cruces or be able to relocate, with travel 50-75% annually and CAT deployment flexibility. Strong knowledge of construction and claims law is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of property claims adjusting experience of moderate to complex losses.
• Advanced knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar tools.
• Hands-on field experience with high-severity and complex property claims.
• Residential construction knowledge.
• Understanding of property claims contracts and relevant state regulations.
• Strong negotiation, investigation, communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Willingness to travel 50-75% annually and/or participate in CAT deployments.
• Licensure as an insurance adjuster to be obtained within 90 days and up to 3 attempts.

Responsibilities

• Manages a claims caseload with complex damages and coverage questions.
• Collaborates with vendors and internal teams for complex resolutions and regulatory coordination.
• Investigates damages using insured, third parties and external sources to resolve discrepancies.
• Identifies coverage concerns and determines eligibility and SIU referrals as needed.
• Negotiates settlements within authority; coordinates with management for amounts outside authority.
• Maintains accurate claim files and documentation throughout the process.
• Utilizes estimating tech and virtual inspection tools to prepare loss estimates.
• Supports CAT operations and may respond to on-call duties, evenings or travel as required.
• Works independently and mentors less experienced colleagues.
• Addresses jurisdictional challenges and attends in-person inspections as needed.
