Job summary

CalPortland is seeking a Senior Property & Facilities Manager to oversee real estate and facilities for company-owned and leased properties. You will balance daily maintenance with project management, lead TI construction, and coordinate space planning across a portfolio of local and non-local properties.

The role requires extensive experience in commercial properties and strong knowledge of building systems, leasing, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of direct experience managing commercial properties, corporate facilities, or TI construction projects
• Deep understanding of building systems and commercial lease structures
• Strong familiarity with building codes and safety standards
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel 10–20% for non-local properties
• Proficient in MS Office and online tools
• Financial acumen and comfort with numbers and spreadsheets
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to lead contractors and consultants
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; willing to communicate in person, phone, email, and text
• Self-starter with initiative and willingness to learn new skills
• Experience with property database software and A.I. tools
• Preferred: OSHA 10/30, CPM, or FMP designation
• Proficiency with property management software and project tracking tools (MS Project, Procore, Excel); ArcGIS skills beneficial
• Familiarity with SAP or similar accounting systems is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage property and facilities for company-owned and leased properties
• Oversee tenant relations, lease administration, and rent/expense recoveries
• Coordinate tenant improvements and fit-outs, space planning, and renovations
• Lead capital improvement projects and routine maintenance scheduling
• Manage vendor contracts, payments, and documentation
• Coordinate with accounting on budgeting and financial reporting
• Act as primary contact for facility emergencies and vendor escalations
• Maintain property records and compliance with regulations
