Job summary

Glatfelter Insurance Group seeks a Sr. Property & Casualty Underwriter for the GH team, who will independently price and underwrite new and renewal business, and service accounts per standards.

This on-site role is based in Berwyn, PA or Leader Heights, York, PA, offering exposure to complex accounts and program guidelines. The candidate should have a BA in insurance or business, at least five years of P&C underwriting experience, state licensing, and professional designations (AU/CPCU/ARM)

Qualifications

• BA degree in insurance, business or related field preferred.
• Must have at least five years of Property & Casualty underwriting experience.
• Licenses: property-casualty license for state of residence and other licenses as required.
• Desire AU, CPCU, ARM designations or equivalent education.
• Strong analytical ability to underwrite large accounts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in IT tools and software.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal submissions with independent judgment.
• Build and maintain producer and account relationships.
• Analyze underwriting information including applications, MVRs, loss data.
• Participate in large account reviews and renewals.
• Support sales staff and attend agent meetings as needed.
