Job summary

CRC Group is seeking a Senior Claim Specialist to investigate, evaluate, and resolve moderately complex property and casualty claims. The role emphasizes timely, fair, and cost-effective handling while maintaining regulatory compliance and delivering superior customer service.

Responsibilities include thorough investigations, policy interpretation, and negotiation within authority, with emphasis on documentation and collaboration with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant claims handling experience with knowledge of property and casualty principles.
• Experience with claims management systems and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Handle a portfolio of moderately complex property and casualty claims from intake to resolution.
• Conduct thorough investigations, including gathering statements, reviewing policy coverage, and analyzing documentation.
• Evaluate exposure and potential liability based on policy language and facts.
• Negotiate settlements within authority limits while ensuring cost control and fairness.
• Maintain accurate documentation, claim notes, and reports in compliance with internal standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams, legal counsel, and external vendors as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and service-level agreements.
• Provide responsive communication and superior service to policyholders, brokers, and stakeholders.
