Job summary

Abode Services, a leading nonprofit focused on ending homelessness in the Bay Area, seeks a Senior Property Accountant to close and report on a portfolio of properties. You will work with accounting, property management, and asset management teams to analyze financial results and ensure accurate reporting.

The role requires a solid GAAP background, nonprofit accounting experience, and proficiency in Excel. Yardi experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• 5 years of property management accounting experience, nonprofit accounting a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Prepares monthly project financial reporting packages for portfolio properties.
• Performs complex account reconciliations and journal entries; analyzes variances.
• Coordinates with on-site property managers to ensure timely month-end close and reporting.
