Job summary

MidPen Housing Corp. in Foster City, CA is seeking a Property Accountant to join our accounting team.

You will manage financial closing and reporting for a portfolio of partnerships, ensuring accuracy and GAAP compliance, and collaborating with Property Management, Asset Management, and Resident Services. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance with at least three years of experience, knowledge of Real Page and OneSite, and strong Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and at least three years of accounting/financial analysis experience.
• Experience with property accounting ERP software and leases; Real Page and OneSite preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and ability to handle partnership accounting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and report financial information for a portfolio of properties.
• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations; support monthly close and variance analyses.
• Ensure inter-entity transactions are balanced and documented.
• Review compliance and partnership documents and GAAP treatment.
• Coordinate with external auditors for audits and tax filings; provide ad-hoc reporting.
