Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Property Accountant in Cincinnati, OH to oversee all aspects of property accounting, including CAM reconciliations, Yardi, and fund accounting. The role involves preparing financial statements, budgeting support, and coordinating with property management to ensure timely reporting.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of property accounting experience, strong Excel skills, GAAP knowledge, and excellent communication. CPA preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in property accounting with CAM reconciliations, Yardi, and fund accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting principles.
• CPA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all aspects of property accounting including CAM reconciliations, Yardi, and fund accounting.
• Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Coordinating with property management teams for accurate reporting of property-level financial data.
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting, including variance analysis and reporting.
• Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborating with accounting team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Providing support during external audits and tax preparation.
• Assisting with special projects and other duties as assigned.
