Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, preferably in retail/shopping centers.
• Strong CAM reconciliations experience.
• Proficiency with CAMS or similar property management software.
• CPA certification or equivalent is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and financial management for a portfolio of commercial properties, including retail and shopping centers.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Conduct CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations and ensure accurate billing and recovery of all CAM expenses.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes for all properties, including variance analysis and reporting.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure all financial records are compliant and maintained.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency of the accounting function.
• Provide financial guidance to property managers and stakeholders as needed.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes and reflect them in reporting.

Job Details

Our organization is currently seeking a Senior Property Accountant who will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting and financial management for our extensive portfolio of commercial properties. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in property accounting, particularly in the retail and shopping center sectors. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for numbers, and a drive to provide accurate and timely financial information to our stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all aspects of accounting and financial management for a portfolio of commercial properties, including retail and shopping centers.

Qualifications:

3. Strong understanding and experience with CAM reconciliations.
4. Proficiency in using CAMS (Community Association Management Software) or a similar property management software.
5. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
7. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
8. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
9. CPA certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
