The ideal candidate has 4–8+ years in commercial property accounting, strong understanding of property-level financials, and proficiency with MRI or Yardi.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of property-level financials and real estate operations.
• Experience with CAM reconciliations, recoveries, and lease-related accounting.
• Proficiency with real estate accounting systems (MRI or Yardi preferred).
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate financial insights clearly.
• A proactive, collaborative professional who enjoys partnering with operations and asset management.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial assets properties.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, bank statements, and general ledger activity.
• Review and analyze CAM, property taxes, insurance, and other recoverable expenses.
• Prepare CAM reconciliations and support tenant billing processes.
• Partner with asset management on budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Support annual audits and coordinate with external auditors.
• Assist with cash management, AP/AR oversight, and treasury functions.
• Maintain accurate property-level financial data and ensure timely reporting.
• Contribute to process improvements and accounting best practices.

We’re seeking a Senior Property Accountant to support an established owner operator of institutional‑quality portfolio of commercial assets.
