Job summary

Leeds Professional Resources in New York seeks a Senior Property Accountant to own accounting and reporting for a portfolio of commercial properties while partnering with operations to drive results. You will work with a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

The role covers monthly/quarterly/annual statements, CAM reconciliations, budgeting, audits, and cash flow management, requiring strong GAAP knowledge and CRE experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5+ years property accounting experience, preferably CRE.
• Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Experience with Yardi, RealPage, MRI or similar software.
• Solid GAAP and accrual-based accounting understanding.
• Knowledge of CAM reconciliations and commercial leases is a plus.
• CPA or CPA-track candidates are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheets, and general ledger accounts.
• Manage financial data within Yardi, RealPage, MRI, or similar software.
• Lead CAM reconciliations, budgeting, and year-end true-ups.
• Analyze budget-to-actual results and explain variances.
• Support annual audits with auditors and tax professionals.
• Monitor cash flow, distributions, wire transfers, and property payments.
• Partner with property management teams to provide financial insights.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For
