Job summary

TriSource LLC in the Baltimore, MD area seeks a Property Accountant to support a growing team. Position offers competitive salary, bonus, equity, and generous benefits.

Must have CPA or have taken some exam; 2+ years of relevant accounting experience is expected. Knowledge of Voyager and GAAP/SOX is preferred to ensure accurate lease and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Must have solid knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• SOX knowledge is required or beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial integrity for a portfolio of properties in compliance with GAAP and contract terms.
• Perform month-end close procedures for assigned properties.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries for revenue, CAM, and tenant billings; analyze variances.
• Review lease documents to ensure accuracy; assist with annual adjustment billings.
• Assist with budgets and forecasts and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure timely payment, recording, and coding of invoices.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain financial integrity for a portfolio of properties to comply with GAAP, company policies, and contract arrangements
• Month-end close procedures for assigned properties
• Monthly journal entries for revenue, CAM accruals, and tenant billings; accruals for monthly operating expenses; variance analysis; ensure internal controls are maintained
• Review lease documents to ensure accuracy; assist with annual adjustment billings
• Assist with preparation and analysis of budgets and forecasts
• Ensure timely payment, recording, and coding of invoices
• Assist in maintaining books and records for an assigned property portfolio; prepare balance sheet reconciliations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field is required; CPA preferred
• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Familiarity with accounting systems; Voyager preferred
• GAAP and SOX knowledge
• Public Accounting and/or Property Accounting experience are a plus
