Careers In Government, Inc. is seeking a qualified professional to support Houston Water/Wastewater Operations. The role involves processing contractor payments, managing as-built drawings, survey/post videos, and distributing materials to staff.

You will gather data, guide contractors on forms and systems, and assist in locating project plans. Requires an associate degree in engineering-related field and 5 years of related experience, with preference for experience in contract management

Qualifications

• Requires an associate degree in Engineering, Drafting, Designing or a closely related field.
• Five years of related experience in surveying, engineering, drafting and/or designing.
• Directly related professional experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Prepares documentation authorizing payments to contractors.
• Prepares and updates various reports, records and files, including as-built drawings, survey videos, and post videos from contractors.
• Researches and collects data from various departments and other sources.
• Instructs contractors about forms, data gathering, and operating systems; supervises and prepares lists for substantial completion.
• Assists technical personnel in locating project plans and specifications.
• Performs accurate abstracting for all assessment projects.
• May prepare field investigation reports and maintain records of findings.
