Job summary

TERRA Engineering, Ltd. is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to translate complex survey data into precise drawings and contract documents. You will use AutoCAD, Civil3D, and related tools to produce designs that meet project specifications and regulatory standards.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, perform quality control checks, and assist in estimating and field coordination. Hybrid work arrangements and strong growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• College credits in surveying technology or related field a plus.
• 4+ years of applicable experience (education or certification considered).
• Surveyor-In-Training (SIT) certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license may be required for field work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare finished drawings from complex sketches, notes, and instructions.
• Collect, review, and maintain project records and documentation.
• Analyze input material to determine best approach for drawings.
• Use CAD software per company standards and project specs.
• Conduct research of recorded documents and deeds.
• Ensure quality control/quality assurance on work product.
• Monitor budget hours and schedule; report issues to project manager.
• Assist in drafting estimates and calculations.
