Job summary

TERRA Engineering, Ltd. is seeking a skilled survey CAD technician to translate complex sketches into precise project drawings. You will prepare, review, and finalize survey documents in line with company standards and client requirements.

Ideal candidates have strong AutoCAD/Civil3D skills, familiarity with Microstation/OpenRoads, and 4+ years of relevant experience, with SIT preferred. Hybrid/remote-friendly role; valid driver’s license may be required for field visits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• College credits in surveying technology or related field preferred.
• 4+ years of applicable experience in surveying/design.
• SIT certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license may be required for field work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare finished drawings from complex sketches and notes.
• Review, maintain project records and documentation.
• Analyze inputs to determine best approach for drawings.
• Utilize CAD software per company standards and specs.
• Conduct research of recorded documents and deeds.
• Ensure quality control/assurance on work products.
• Monitor budget hours and schedule; raise issues to PM.
• Assist in calculations and drafting estimates.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
• Provide training and resolve production issues for juniors.
