Job summary

TERRA Engineering, Ltd. is seeking a skilled CAD/Survey Drafter to translate complex sketches into precise drawings for diverse projects in Milwaukee, WI. The role emphasizes adherence to surveying standards, contract requirements, and QA/QC practices.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D is essential, with field exposure beneficial. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of survey drafting experience, SIT certification preferred, and a readiness to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a hybrid

Qualifications

• 4+ years of applicable surveying/engineering experience.
• SIT certification preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• May require valid driver’s license for field work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare finished drawings from complex sketches, notes, and verbal instructions.
• Collect, review, and maintain project records and documentation
• Analyze input material to plan and complete drawings
• Utilize CAD software per company standards and project specs
• Conduct research of recorded documents and deeds
• Ensure quality control and quality assurance of work
• Monitor hours and schedule for projects; report issues to PM
• Assist in calculations and drafting estimates for projects
• Develop and maintain relationships with multidisciplinary team members
• Assist in training junior technicians and resolving production issues
