Job summary

W3Global's Chantilly, VA office is seeking a Project Surveyor/Senior Project Surveyor with 5+ years of land surveying drafting experience to transform field data into precise drawings for boundary and topographic surveys.

The role requires advanced CAD drafting, knowledge of boundary analysis, ALTA surveys, and collaboration with field crews and engineers. Strong attention to detail, QA/QC, and data management are essential.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5+ years of dedicated land survey drafting experience within a civil engineering or surveying firm.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
Experience with metes-and-bounds descriptions and ALTA surveys is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, subdivision plats, and as-built survey documents.
Transform field survey information into precise CAD drawings and legal survey documents.
Research public land records and support boundary determinations.
Review QA/QC notes and ensure compliance with local ordinances and standards.
Coordinate with field crews and project engineers to meet deadlines.
Manage project data and archive survey information for future retrieval.
