Job summary

American Electric Power in Charleston, WV is seeking a Project Scheduler Associate to coordinate scope of work activities and support Project Managers. Under supervision, you will act as scheduler and commodity tracker for major projects, developing and analyzing schedules using Primavera, SmartSheet, and similar tools.

You will organize schedule reviews, capture minutes, report progress, and communicate status to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Must have an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
High school diploma with at least 2 years of qualified experience.
Degrees may include Accounting, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Technology, or Project Management.
Experience in design, operations, planning, project management, cost tracking, forecasting, or budgeting.

Responsibilities

Define activities, durations, sequences, and logic to develop the scope of work plan and milestones.
Develop and maintain scope of work project schedules using Primavera or SmartSheet.
Organize and lead schedule review meetings with stakeholders and document minutes.
Provide schedule analysis and alert risks that could delay milestones.
Communicate schedule status to project stakeholders.
Adhere to AEP project management standards and governance.
Assist in user access setup and role assignments.
