Job summary

The Ian Martin Group is hiring a Scheduler in Charleston, West Virginia, to support our client’s Project Services team with critical scheduling and project controls duties on mid-sized capital projects in the energy/infrastructure sector.

You will develop and maintain schedules, perform critical path analyses, collect data for monthly reports, and participate in risk assessments to mitigate schedule impacts. A Bachelor’s degree and 4–8 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
• 4–8 years of directly related project controls and scheduling experience in energy, oil & gas, or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong scheduling principles knowledge including critical path, logic dependencies, and baseline maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Schedule Development: Develop and maintain Level 1 through Level 3 project schedules aligned with WBS and baseline.
• Planning & Integration: Review detailed engineering and construction schedules; analyze sequencing, resources, constraints and dependencies (critical path).
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report project data and progress for monthly scheduling packages.
• Risk Management: Participate in Schedule Risk Assessments (SRA) and HRIM to evaluate and mitigate schedule impacts.
• Project Controls Implementation: Maintain monitoring procedures to safeguard project scope and schedule objectives.
