Job summary

Granite Construction in Oregon is seeking a senior Planning & Scheduling professional to lead CPM scheduling for large heavy civil projects. You will coordinate with stakeholders, develop baseline schedules, and integrate planning tools to drive project success.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in construction planning and a Bachelor’s degree in engineering/construction management, with PMI-SP or AACEI PSP preferred. This full-time, on-site role offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering/construction management or related field.
• 10+ years of full-time construction planning/scheduling experience, with large heavy civil projects.
• PMI-SP or AACEI PSP or other scheduling Cert preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and scheduling functions to meet operational needs and objectives.
• Develop baseline schedule with stakeholders, aligning with sequencing and short- interval planning.
• Create high-quality CPM schedules with resource/cost loads for reporting.
• Prepare detailed schedule narratives for formal client submissions.
• Integrate multiple planning tools and methodologies into a cohesive plan.
• Update CPM schedules to reflect requirements, challenges, and sequencing.
• Review project scheduling specs and guide contractual language to mitigate risks.
• Prepare weekly TIAs, updates, and monthly reconciliation schedules.
• Support development of company-wide planning guidance and procedures.
• Communicate with stakeholders to facilitate planning with heavy civil sequencing insights.
