Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking an experienced scheduling professional to support development, maintenance, training and implementation of planning systems across the company. The position requires coordinating baseline schedules with stakeholders and ensuring contractual alignment in heavy civil projects.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in project level planning and scheduling for large heavy civil projects, with proficiency in Primavera P6 or similar tools, and strong communication skills in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, construction management, project management, or comparable discipline.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s degree
• AACEI PSP, PMI-SP or other professional planning and scheduling certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and scheduling functions to meet operational needs and objectives.
• Develop baseline schedules with stakeholders ensuring contractual compliance.
• Create CPM schedules with resource and cost loads and generate reports.
• Prepare schedule narratives for submissions to clients.
• Integrate multiple scheduling software to streamline project execution.
• Update schedules to reflect requirements and risks for project completion.
• Advise on scheduling specifications to mitigate risks for project teams.
• Prepare weekly TIAs, updates, and reconciliation schedules for monthly compliance.
• Support company-wide planning guidance and procedures across levels.
• Communicate scheduling concepts to project stakeholders effectively.
