McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. in Omaha seeks a Senior Project Scheduler to support full-cycle project scheduling for the Nebraska market. This role will oversee baseline schedules, updates, and recovery plans, reporting to the Scheduling Manager.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of construction scheduling experience, strong EVMS knowledge, and proficiency with Primavera P6. This is an on-site position focused on delivering schedules across diverse regional projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent scheduling experience.
• Minimum 5 years of construction scheduling experience.
• Strong understanding of construction principles, processes and reading plans.
• Proficient in Oracle Primavera P6.
• Experience with delay claims, time extensions and schedule analysis.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with field staff, scheduling consultant and client to ensure schedule development and updates.
• Meet with Subcontractors to develop baseline schedule, monthly updates and recovery schedules.
• Identify and communicate significant schedule risks to staff and regional personnel.
• Utilize EVMS principles to develop Work Breakdown Structures and work with project staff to develop the project schedule.
• Use EVMS to evaluate performance by analyzing significant schedule, budget and resource variances from the baseline plan.
• Forecast impacts of variances to aid in schedule management.
• Ability to use the cost-loaded schedule as the basis of billings.
• Utilize Primavera P6 to update and document schedule performance.
• Monitor and status schedule progress.
• Analyze delivery impacts, time extensions, claims, etc. through schedule fragnets.
• Implement controls to avoid claims.
• Interact with scheduling consultant in reviews, claims analysis, etc. Perform cash flow projections / analysis monthly.
• Perform manpower projections / analysis.
• Participate in regional training seminars.
• Train/Lead classes and facilitate learning of scheduling systems among project staff
