Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking a Project Scheduler to support construction teams across the Southern Region. You will help develop, track and update schedules from inception to completion, coordinating with field staff, the scheduling consultant and clients.

The role requires 2–5 years of scheduling or project experience, a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering, and proficiency with Primavera P6. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of construction scheduling or project experience.
  • Experience with commercial or water/wastewater projects is a plus.
  • Proficiency in developing, resource loading, analyzing and reporting on project schedules.
  • Primavera P6 scheduling experience.
  • Ability to read construction plans and understand field operations.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with field staff, scheduling consultant, and client to ensure efficient and accurate schedule development and updates.
  • Read construction documents and perform quantity take offs as needed to develop a schedule.
  • Develop Work Breakdown Structures and facilitate development of the project schedule.
  • Meet with Subcontractors as required in development of baseline schedule, monthly updates and recovery schedules.
  • Utilize Primavera P6 scheduling software to update and document schedule performance.
  • Evaluate the performance of the project by analyzing significant schedule, budget and/or resource variances from the baseline plan.
  • Create reports for project executives, including the corporate report.
  • Analyze delivery impacts, time extensions, claims, etc. using schedule Fragnet.
  • Participate in Division training seminars.

Job description

Position Summary

McCarthy is currently seeking a Project Scheduler to work on construction projects across the Southern Region. The Project Scheduler will assist project teams in developing, tracking and updating schedules from inception to completion of the project. The Project Scheduler will also work with the Scheduling team to enhance overall business flow.
