Job summary

Cencora is seeking a seasoned Project Manager/Project Engineer to lead large-scale projects within a distribution environment. You will collaborate with the Project Director, manage capital expenditures, and coordinate vendor relations from RFP to final invoicing.

This role requires cross-functional leadership and on-site oversight of complex installations. Required 7+ years in project management with experience in automation or construction, plus strong skills in MS Project, Excel, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
Master’s Degree and/or PMP certification desired.

Responsibilities

Assist in the development of a project charter outlining project design and/or implementation requirements.
Assist in the preparation of capital expenditure requests for projects.
Manage vendor selection and vendor management from RFP through design, installation, and final invoicing.
Manage overall onsite build or installation coordination with internal and external partners.
Manage development and management of project budget plus elements like material handling equipment, warehouse, and business systems.
Assigned scope may include design, contractor coordination, testing, training, and start up activities.
May be assigned multiple areas of scope and overall responsibility for a project.
Manages assigned team members in the execution of the assigned scope and reports on project budget.
Develops, maintains, and reports on timelines for assigned scope; cross-functional coordination with internal teams and vendors.
Willing to travel up to 50% of the time; must be located near an airport.
