Jobot is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Underground Utilities projects in Chicagoland. The role combines in-office work, field visits, and remote flexibility, with a strong focus on budget, schedule, and safety.

You will lead a team across sewer, water, and related infrastructure, ensuring successful delivery of high-budget programs. The candidate should have 4+ years in construction focused on underground utilities, a related bachelor’s degree, and PMP or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in construction with underground utilities or water mains
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
• Proven experience managing large-scale underground utility projects
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Solid knowledge of construction processes, methods, and safety regulations
• Proficient with project management software/tools
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with clients and teams
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple tasks
• PM certification (PMP) preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee underground utility projects including sewer, water, and infrastructure
• Develop and execute project plans: budgeting, scheduling, risk management
• Lead project team and contractors, ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to meet objectives
• Manage resources: labor, materials, equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Conduct site inspections and quality control audits
• Resolve project challenges and issues during lifecycle
• Prepare and present status reports to stakeholders
• Seek opportunities to improve project management processes
