Job summary

Horner & Shifrin, Inc. in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Senior Roadway Project Manager for our Transportation team. This full-time position requires 10+ years of demonstrated experience leading complex roadway and highway projects.

You will coordinate with clients, staff, and vendors, manage schedules and budgets, develop business in Utah, and write engineering reports. A Utah PE license is preferred, and proficiency in Civil3D/OpenRoads is a plus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in roadway project management or related field.
• Experience working with clients, vendors and staff at multiple levels.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Utah preferred; strong communication skills required.

Horner & Shifrin is seeking a full-time Senior Roadway Project Manager in our Transportation business unit in Salt Lake City, UT. This position requires 10+ years of experience.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Interact and communicate with clients, vendors and staff of all levels
• Ability to lead, manage and schedule staff to meet project needs
• Track multiple projects simultaneously to keep jobs on schedule and under budget
• Lead planning, design and delivery of roadway and highway improvement projects.
• Perform transportation engineering analyses and calculations
• Prepare and write engineering and other reports
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships
• Develop business in the Utah region

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Experience working directly with the Utah Department of Transportation and local municipalities
• Existing business development relationships
• Licensed professional engineer in Utah, preferred
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Experience using at least one CADD platform (MicroStation or AutoCAD)
• Knowledge of at least one highway design package (OpenRoads, Geopak, or Civil3D)
• Critical thinking and analysis
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must complete a background check

SALARY RANGE

Horner & Shifrin, Inc. offers a comprehensive total rewards package and is committed to fair, competitive, market-based compensation. The target salary range for this position is $110,000 to $155,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.
