Job summary

Principal Global Investors is seeking a Project Manager to join the Retirement and Income Solutions team. You will organize and lead medium-to-large initiatives aligned with strategic goals, manage multiple concurrent initiatives, and mentor team members.

You will collaborate with internal partners and external vendors, apply project management methodologies, and ensure risks, issues, and dependencies are handled. This role supports our long-term strategy with robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years project, program, or initiative management experience.
• Experience with quality and risk control, communication, HR management and integration.
• Strong leadership, communication, planning, decision making, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to influence without formal authority and work with external consultants and vendors.
• Knowledge of negotiation and procurement for professional services and products.
• Willingness to be on-call and travel as needed.
• Background check potential associate person of Principal Securities, Inc.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple complex, high-risk initiatives to successful completion.
• Apply problem-solving techniques and drive decisions with cost/benefit analysis.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, decisions and dependencies.
• Demonstrate effective stakeholder management with timely updates to stakeholders.
• Lead activities with outside vendors and suppliers and manage vendor relationships.
