Job summary

Stanley Consultants is a global engineering firm seeking a Project Manager with industrial building and energy experience to lead Power Delivery projects. You will manage scope, schedule, cost, and risk across large, multi-discipline teams for generation projects.

You will also support business development, interact with clients, and drive project performance metrics while mentoring junior PMs in a hybrid work environment across CO/IL locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or business from an accredited college or university.
• 10+ years of increasing experience in the Energy Engineering Industry with a minimum of 5 years in project management.
• Experience in Transmission Line, Substation, and Distribution projects.
• Firm understanding of PMP Principles.
• Demonstrated capabilities in managing large multi-discipline programs or projects.
• Outstanding time management skills.
• Experience in Design Bid Build project delivery methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and implementation of medium to large engineering projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Support business development through scoping, fee development, proposals, interviews, and contracts.
• Define project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, and vendor lists after award.
• Form a project team and assign responsibilities to align with schedule.
• Submit documents to authorities for code compliance and obtain permits.
• Meet with client management to resolve issues and obtain approvals.
• Maintain ongoing client relationships as part of business development.
• Plan, organize, communicate, and coordinate project engagements.
• Manage day-to-day activities of projects including clients and stakeholders.
• Prepare project opening orders, initiation, schedules, and closings.
• Achieve objectives for quality, scope, budget, and schedules.
• Maintain accurate project records and performance metrics.
• Analyze project performance, resources, profitability, and revenues.
• Identify potential out-of-scope work and manage change orders.
• Identify and manage project risk from proposal to completion.
• Understand key commercial elements of energy projects.
• Train and mentor other Project Managers and participate in reviews.
