Job summary

Stantec is seeking a senior Project Manager for Ports & Marine Terminals in the San Pedro Basin to lead the pursuit and delivery of port infrastructure projects. You will drive technical leadership, manage schedules and budgets, and mentor junior staff while growing the local team.

This leadership role requires strong client engagement, cross‑disciplinary collaboration, and proactive business development to expand Stantec’s presence in the region and deliver high‑quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Ten years of port planning/engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in planning, environmental science, or engineering.
• Preferred PE licensure in CA, WA, AK, HI, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Proven client relationship development in ports/marine sector.
• Eligibility to obtain a TWIC card.

Responsibilities

• Lead pursuit and delivery of port infrastructure projects.
• Build and maintain client relationships and lead business development.
• Oversee project schedule, budgets, and technical delivery.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate cross-disciplinary teams.
• Coordinate with agencies and stakeholders for approvals.
• Provide QA/QC reviews and design guidance.
