Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Manager for Ports & Marine Terminals in California, leading port infrastructure projects from planning to delivery. You will drive proposals, manage budgets and schedules, mentor staff, and maintain strong client relationships to win new work.

This leadership role requires collaborating with marketing, coordinating with clients, agencies, and subconsultants, and ensuring technical excellence across projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum ten years of port planning/engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in planning, environmental science, or engineering.
• PE license in CA/WA/AK/HI or ability to obtain within 6 months is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead pursuit and delivery of port infrastructure projects from proposal to execution.
• Manage scope, budgets, and schedules across multiple projects.
• Lead client meetings and mentor junior staff.
• Coordinate with marketing to secure new work and prepare proposals.
• Develop and review technical design approaches for marine structures.
• Ensure QA/QC reviews and design compliance.
• Oversee design teams and subcontractors; manage subconsultants.
• Build and maintain client relationships and pursue new opportunities.
• Prepare design plans and specifications for bidding and construction.
• Provide technical leadership and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
