Job summary

Plains is seeking a Project Manager in Midland, Texas to lead scope definition, design, cost estimation and scheduling for viable projects. You will work with business units to ensure operational requirements and regulatory expectations are met, with some travel involved.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in pipeline and oil or gas processing, including design, construction and project management.
• Knowledge of labor, safety and environmental regulations; working knowledge of U.S. codes and standards for pipelines and hydrocarbon-processing facilities.
• Familiarity with AACE and PMI best practices in estimating and project management.
• Knowledge of cost estimating systems, benchmarking tools, and risk modeling practices.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope with Business Development and Execution teams.
• Develop preliminary designs, cost estimates, schedules and risk registers.
• Provide class estimate development and basis of estimates for expansion projects.
• Utilize PDRI to measure completeness of scope definition and maintain benchmarking data.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and engineering standards.
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders and contractors to maintain schedule and budget.
