Gilbane Building seeks a Senior Project Manager to serve as the on-site Gilbane manager, responsible for overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of large or complex construction projects. This role sits on the job site with occasional travel to the office for trainings and meetings.

You will lead with an inclusive mindset, delegate effectively, and build high-performing teams while applying industry insights to create competitive advantage for Gilbane and its clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 10-12+ years of experience in the lead project management role on projects.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops the project safety plan with corporate safety and provides jobsite leadership.
• Develops the project controls and procedures to manage complex project requirements.
• Manages project financial forecast, notice provisions, and billings to meet contract requirements.
• Creates and manages a project-specific quality plan aligned with the Owner contract and contract documents.
• Creates and manages a closeout plan in alignment with the contract documents and assists with execution.
• Provides leadership in motivating the project team and maintains a positive work environment.
• Develops the subcontracting strategy and reviews scopes to ensure buyout process integrity.
• Implements and enforces contracts; leads risk mitigation and draft contracts/purchase orders.
• Enrolls for insurance and bonds and manages compliance for trade contractors.
• Leads the development of the project estimate and manages the estimating team.
• Leads constructability and coordination reviews.
• Creates CPM schedule for large/complex projects and mitigates schedule risks.
• Develops local market awareness to lead a networking strategy.
• Collaborates with business development to align with sales strategies and client deliverables.
• Responsible for career development and coaching of team members.
• Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment.
• Interprets organizational strategy and ensures team understanding of goals.
