Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a Senior Project Manager to serve as the on-site Gilbane manager, accountable for the direction, completion, and financial outcome of large or complex construction projects. The role sits primarily on the job site with occasional travel to the office for trainings and meetings.

You will lead a high-performing team, steward safety, develop project controls, manage subcontracting, and ensure alignment with owner contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 8–12 years of experience.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong technical and communication skills are critical.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Knowledge of industry standard software, MS Office (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develops and leads on-site project safety plans and coordination.
• Owns project controls, schedules, and budget to meet contractual requirements.
• Oversees project estimates, procurement, and subcontracting activities.
• Leads the project team, ensuring timely delivery and quality alignment with owner contracts.
• Manages risk, change orders, and client communications to maintain project objectives.
• Drives comprehensive project closeout and knowledge transfer to client.
• Collaborates with business development to align project pursuits with strategy.
