Job summary

Gilbane Building seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead on-site management of large or complex construction projects. The role sits on the job site with occasional travel to the office for trainings, meetings, and related activities.

You will build and lead high-performing teams, develop subcontracting strategies, and coordinate with business development to ensure client deliverables are met. 8–12 years of experience and a degree in engineering or construction management are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or Construction Management required.
• 8–12 years of construction management experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Develops the project safety plan with corporate safety.
• Creates project controls and procedures for complex requirements.
• Manages financial forecast, notices, and billings to contract.
• Develops quality and closeout plans aligned with contracts.
• Leads project team including superintendents and engineers.
• Develops subcontracting strategy and scopes.
• Manages contracts and risk mitigation plans.
• Leads scheduling via CPM and mitigates delays.
• Collaborates with business development for client delivery.
