Job summary

Omega Technical Services is actively seeking a Project Manager 2 to support ongoing operations in Los Alamos, NM. The role may require a flexible schedule, including days, nights, and weekends, and involves leading projects of $500k or less with oversight of Superintendent 2’s as necessary.

The ideal candidate will have nuclear project experience, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with DOE security clearance eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science plus 10 years of experience.
• 10+ years in related fields; 5+ years in engineering/procurement/construction.
• Nuclear experience required.
• Ability to obtain/maintain DOE clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects up to $500k and oversee Superintendent 2’s as needed.
• May initiate investigation of abnormal events or incidents and assist in corrective actions.
• Serve as CAM for planning, budgeting, and cost/schedule performance; act as PM/controls contact.
• Ensure work packages reflect required duration and budget; perform variance analyses.
• Present PM performance plans and status updates to sponsors; report trends/issues.
• Lead constructability reviews affecting cost and schedule.
• Lead health, safety, and environmental compliance guidance.
• Foster open communication to build trust and teamwork.
