Mandatory Experience Requirements – Read Before Applying
  • Prior experience supporting DOE construction or D&D projects.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), including tools such as Humphrey’s & Associates, and functioning as a Control Account Manager or equivalent.
  • Experience operating in DOE Hazard Category 2 and Security Classification 1 nuclear facilities.
  • Background in work control, radiological operations, and hazard/controls management under NQA‑1 standards.
Impact

As a TPM 2, you will be responsible for executing mission‑critical projects in one of the most sensitive environments at LANL. You will lead the safe and compliant execution of construction and D&D work within a Hazard Category 2 nuclear setting, directly supporting national security infrastructure and scientific objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage technical/operational projects from initiation to completion.
  • Ensure adherence to project requirements, scope, schedule, budget, and risk.
  • Supervise project teams and interface with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and monitor project work packages and deliverables aligned to programmatic goals.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day project execution within DOE Hazard Category 2 and Security Classification 1 facilities.
  • Apply EVMS principles and manage work as a certified Control Account Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control, assurance, and radiological safety standards.
  • Adjust schedules to align with field installs and respond to on‑call needs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (AA, BAS, BS, or in progress) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of DOE, nuclear, or radiological project experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in construction and D&D projects within regulated environments.
Desired Skills
  • DOE/NRC radiological facility operations background.
  • Construction management certifications related to nuclear safety.
  • Experience in work control systems and field coordination.
  • Strong understanding of hazards and controls in radiological settings.
