Job summary

Omega Technical Services, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer 3 to support ongoing operations in Los Alamos, NM. The role supervises engineering activity across disciplines, plans and directs assignments, and ensures technical alignment with security requirements.

The candidate will coordinate interfaces, manage reviews, and lead the engineering team while maintaining strict cost and schedule controls for high-security infrastructure projects. DOE/DoD experience preferred.

Qualifications

• US Citizen required.
• Pre-employment screening including drug and breath alcohol test, plus MVR check.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance.
• 10+ years of project engineering experience in commercial infrastructure/high-security facilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate security and infrastructure design interfaces across MEP, structural, and security sub-systems.
• Manage design reviews and approvals using Aproove and related tools.
• Conduct constructability reviews for high-security requirements and critical utilities.
• Lead Project Engineer and Field Engineer functions, serving as the engineering point of contact.
• Integrate multidisciplinary design work across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and security interfaces.
• Manage changes, RFIs, submittals, and field-change evaluations from the job site.
• Track costs and progress with Delta and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure quality control of field installations.
