Job summary

Strategic Staffing Solutions seeks a Senior Non-IT Project Manager to optimize business processes and deliver initiatives that align with organizational goals. The role coordinates across business, tech, risk, compliance, and operations to drive change and measurable outcomes.

The candidate should manage end-to-end processes, develop business cases, and monitor performance through data analytics and governance. This onsite 12-month contract is in Phoenix, AZ, with visa sponsorship possible.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in BPM/PM/operational excellence or related fields.
• Knowledge of P&C Insurance operations and workflows.
• Experience developing business cases and implementation plans.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience with process mapping, improvement, and risk assessment.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving with data-driven decisions.
• Experience managing risks, controls and governance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Lean, Six Sigma or BPM experience is a plus.
• Military experience (active or spouse/domestic partner) is a plus.
• Experience leveraging data and analytics tools to monitor performance.

Position Summary

Seeking a Senior Non-IT Project Manager responsible for optimizing business processes and delivering initiatives that drive business objectives and overall performance.

This role plans, directs, and coordinates activities required to define, improve, implement, and sustain complex business processes and organizational capabilities. The position maintains accountability for end-to-end process health, including operating objectives, business rules, performance measures, risks, controls, customer experience outcomes, and dependencies across interconnected processes.

The role will work across business, technology, risk, compliance, and operational teams to align process strategy with organizational goals, drive change adoption, mitigate risk, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end business processes, including strategy, design, performance management, controls, risks, dependencies, and continuous improvement to achieve business and customer outcomes
• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of initiatives that enhance capabilities, improve operational performance, and support organizational objectives
• Partner with business, technology, risk, compliance, and operational stakeholders to define requirements, align priorities, resolve issues, and deliver sustainable solutions
• Establish and monitor process performance through data, analytics, controls, key performance indicators, and governance frameworks
• Identify, assess, and mitigate operational, regulatory, compliance, and delivery risks while ensuring adherence to policies, standards, and risk management practices
• Drive organizational change, stakeholder engagement, and communication strategies that support adoption, sustainment, and realization of business value from process initiatives
• Develop business cases, requirements, implementation plans, and benefits realization frameworks
• Support business partner communication, organization, and creation of presentation materials

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in business process management, process engineering, process optimization, program management, project management, consulting, operational excellence, or related disciplines
• Knowledge of P&C Insurance operations, workflows, and associated business processes
• Experience developing business cases, requirements, implementation plans, and benefits realization frameworks
• Bachelor's degree required; OR four additional years of relevant education and/or experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
• Experience with process mapping, process improvement, and risk and control identification and assessment
• Comprehensive understanding and application of project management methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and data-driven decision making
• Experience managing risks, controls, regulatory requirements, and governance processes
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and facilitation skills
• Experience leveraging data and analytics tools to monitor performance and drive business outcomes
• Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
• U.S. military experience gained through military service or gained as a military spouse/domestic partner
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Business Process Management (BPM), or related continuous improvement methodologies
