Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong experience with traditional project management methodologies (waterfall, lean, phase-gate).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and long timelines.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Experience communicating with senior leaders and executives.
• Understanding of project planning, risk and issue management, dependencies and governance.
• Able to work effectively with technical SMEs without being the expert.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as ServiceNow; proficient with MS 365/Google Workspace.
• Bachelor’s degree; PMP preferred but not required.
• Experience in infrastructure/engineering/operational projects is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, dependencies, risks, and deliverables stay on track.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, risks, issues, and stakeholder communications.
• Coordinate work across technical teams, subject matter experts, business partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
• Facilitate project meetings, drive decisions, clarify ownership, and ensure follow-through on commitments.
• Identify risks, blockers, dependencies, and issues early; develop mitigation plans.
• Support project financial management, resource planning, and governance.
• Establish and improve project management processes, documentation, and operating practices.
• Provide clear executive-level updates regarding status, risks, decisions, and next steps.
• Manage projects with multi-year timelines and multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Adapt PM approach to initiative needs while maintaining strong discipline.
• Partner with SMEs to ensure technical and business requirements are understood and delivered.

OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional projects from planning through completion. This role requires a strong foundation in traditional project management, including waterfall, lean, and phase-gate approaches, with the ability to manage multiple long-term initiatives simultaneously.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, comfortable working with subject matter experts and senior stakeholders, and able to bring structure, accountability, and clear communication to complex projects.

6 Month Contract to Hire - hourly rate still being confirmed - approx $50/hour - NO C2C - must be W2 (not eligible for sponsorship)

Only considering candidates who are interested in converting to a FTE role

Hybrid - 3 days / week onsite

RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of project management experience, preferably leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong experience with traditional project management methodologies, including waterfall, lean, phase-gate, or similar approaches.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities and long timelines.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Experience communicating with senior leaders and executives.
• Strong understanding of project planning, risk management, issue management, dependencies, financial management, and project governance.
• Excellent organization, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively with technical subject matter experts without needing to be the technical expert.
• Comfortable learning and using project management and collaboration technologies.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar project management platforms is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or comparable productivity tools.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• PMP certification preferred, but not required.
• Experience managing infrastructure, technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing, network, data, or other complex operational projects is helpful but not required.
