Job summary

Champion Integrated Building Solutions (CIBS) is seeking a Project Manager II to lead multiple complex customer projects from handoff through closeout in a Houston manufacturing environment. You will plan, coordinate, and lead cross-functional teams while managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer expectations to ensure successful delivery.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and capable of mentoring junior PMs while driving continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Five to eight years of project management experience.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent customer-facing projects.
• Experience within modular construction, manufacturing, industrial, or fabrication environments is preferred.
• Experience leading cross-functional project teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple medium to large, complex projects through all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, execution, delivery, and closeout.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing proactive communication, project updates, and issue resolution.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and recovery plans as needed.
• Lead coordination with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Logistics, Procurement, and other internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to minimize schedule, cost, and quality impacts.
• Review contracts, project documentation, specifications, drawings, and customer requirements to ensure project accuracy and compliance.
• Manage project scope, evaluate change requests, and communicate impacts to schedule, budget, and deliverables.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance while identifying opportunities to improve project profitability.
• Facilitate project meetings, document action items, and drive accountability to ensure timely completion of outstanding tasks.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, forecasts, and project records throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, quality requirements, contractual obligations, and customer expectations.
• Mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Manager I team members by sharing best practices and supporting professional development.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve project execution, reporting, documentation, and standardized processes.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders while serving as a trusted project leader.
