Job summary

NAVFAC Pacific in Hawaii seeks an experienced General Engineer/Architect (Project Manager) to lead design, construction, and maintenance of MILCON facilities for the Navy and others. You will direct cross-functional teams from concept through completion, ensure contract compliance, and oversee multi-million-dollar budgets.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or Architecture, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architecture.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance.
• U.S. Citizen 18 or older at time of hire.
• Male must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
• Suitability for federal employment (background check and fingerprinting).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end lifecycle management of complex, large-scale development and construction projects.
• Provide strategic leadership, mentorship, and operational guidance to project teams; final decision-maker on scheduling, budgets, scope, and contract compliance.
• Lead design process, ensure plans, estimates, and specs conform to criteria, budget, and scope.
• Manage complex design and construction contracts; lead A-E selection boards; provide technical oversight of construction execution.
• Serve as primary liaison between project teams, executives, and external regulatory bodies; conduct site inspections and manage risk.
