Job summary

Hartmann Young Limited is partnering with a CRO to recruit an experienced Clinical Project Manager or Senior Clinical Project Manager with a strong background in metabolic clinical trials. You will lead complex, multinational studies, oversee milestones, budgets and study quality while maintaining sponsor relationships and steering committee updates.

The role emphasizes building senior-level sponsor partnerships, data-driven decision making, and compliance with ICH-GCP and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in clinical trials in CRO or pharmaceutical company.
• 5+ years in project management.
• Metabolic study experience including obesity, diabetes, MASH, dyslipidaemia and ASCVD.
• Experience managing multinational clinical trials.
• Proven ability to build relationships with biotech sponsors and senior decision-makers.
• Strong presentation skills, commercial awareness and data-driven decisions.
• Solid understanding of ICH-GCP and regulatory requirements.

• Contribute to proposals, study strategy, bid defence meetings and client discussions.
• Support process improvements and development of the project management function.

This role offers responsibility for complex, multinational studies, working closely with sponsors and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects to agreed timelines, scope and budget.

The role:

• Lead one or more metabolic studies, overseeing delivery, milestones, quality and project finances.
• Act as the day-to-day sponsor contact, building strong relationships with stakeholders, including biotech CEOs.
• Monitor study performance against plans, KPIs and budgets, proactively identifying risks and resolving challenges.
• Coordinate study-specific documentation and report progress to sponsors, internal stakeholders and steering committees.
• Contribute to proposals, study strategy, bid defence meetings and client discussions.
• Support process improvements and the continued development of the project management function.

What we’re looking for:

• At least 10 years’ experience in clinical trials within a CRO and/or pharmaceutical company, including 5+ years in project management.
• Extensive metabolic study experience across areas such as obesity, diabetes, MASH, dyslipidaemia and ASCVD.
• Experience managing multinational clinical trials.
• A track record of building strong relationships with small biotech sponsors and senior decision-makers.
• Strong presentation skills, commercial awareness and the ability to use data to inform decisions.
• A thorough understanding of ICH-GCP and relevant regulatory requirements.
