Job summary

Southland Industries in Union City, California, seeks a seasoned project leader to manage a project team for large complex projects and mentor others. You will serve as the primary contact for the client and lead project strategy, scheduling, and budget oversight, coordinating with internal departments to drive on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include updating clients and leadership on status, managing budgets and change orders, and presenting proposals.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Engineering or applicable experience.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience.
• Expert knowledge of design systems such as HVAC and plumbing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with all levels.
• Proven ability to manage multiple large projects.
• Strong public speaking ability.
• Ability to present proposals to clients.
• Proficient in CADD, ERP and Microsoft Office (Excel).

Responsibilities

• Manage a project team for a single large complex project or multiple smaller projects.
• Coach and provide performance feedback to team members.
• Develop client relationships and provide project status updates.
• Collaborate with management to implement project strategies.
• Oversee budgets, cost projections, change orders, and revenue for the project.
• Participate in meetings to discuss scheduling and issues.
• Ensure project scope and direction stay on schedule.
