Job summary

Skanska is seeking a dynamic Senior Project Manager - MEP to lead large, complex projects in the U.S. You will drive project direction, budgeting, scheduling, and the transition from pre-construction to construction, ensuring safe, ethical execution under federal, state, and local guidelines.

You will build and lead Project Management Teams, manage MEP subcontractors and vendors, and foster a culture of safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years delivering on-time MEP projects.
  • 6+ years managing MEP subcontractor and vendor relationships.
  • 6+ years creating a culture of safety.
  • 6+ years QA/QC culture in projects.
  • 6+ years installing, coordinating, and commissioning MEP systems.
  • 6+ years leading and developing successful teams.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and oversee large, complex projects to ensure a timely and cost effective outcome.
  • Assemble and lead Project Management Teams.
  • Oversee design management and transition from pre-construction to construction.
  • Ensure the project is constructed safely and in compliance with laws.

The Senior Project Manager - MEP oversees the overall project direction of large, complex and/or multiple projects that have Project Management Teams. They will be instrumental in the assembly of these teams. The Senior Project Manager - MEP is responsible to plan and oversee the project to ensure a timely and cost effective outcome. This includes budgeting, organization, implementation and scheduling of the project. They will oversee a smooth transition from the estimate/pre-construction phase to construction, including design management, if applicable, in order to protect the bid position. They are responsible for ensuring the project/area is constructed in a safe, ethical manner, and in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Senior Project Manager - MEP Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ years proven track record of assuring client satisfaction.
  • 6+ years track record of delivering on-time MEP projects.
  • 6+ managing MEP subcontractor and vendor relationships.
  • 6+ years creating and maintaining a culture of safety.
  • 6+ years experience developing a culture of quality assurance and control.
  • 6+ years' experience managing the installation, coordination, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • 6+ years managing and developing successful teams.
  • Bachelor’s Degree - Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of MEP systems, applicable codes, industry standards, and construction best practices.
