Job summary

Metra in Chicago is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Learning Design and Data Analytics to lead data-driven training initiatives across Transportation, Mechanical and Engineering divisions.

You will oversee data analysis, develop dashboards, manage project timelines and budgets, and advise senior leadership on training strategy and optimization. A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years' experience are required, with strong MS 365 skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, statistics, data analytics, instructional design or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Five years of experience in data management in a learning organization, project management, training coordination, or regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of project management principles including scheduling, budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting.
• Knowledge of data management in a learning organization and change control processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect and interpret data from diverse sources on training effectiveness, workforce performance, and compliance metrics.
• Provide subject matter expertise to inform decisions on training inefficiencies and course delivery.
• Oversee full lifecycle of training-related projects: scope, timelines, quality, and change management.
• Collaborate with technical trainers to identify developmental needs and guide their work.
• Develop dashboards and KPI reports; present insights to senior leadership.
• Coordinate day-to-day activities, monitor performance, and promote safe work practices.
