Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams of engineers, landscape architects, and designers delivering high-quality civil/site designs.
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle — from due diligence and concept development through zoning, permitting, construction documents, and construction support.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact and trusted advisor for clients across commercial, mixed‑use, retail, industrial, energy, and other land development projects.
  • Partner closely with the Practice Leader to grow the business by strengthening existing client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
  • Prepare and oversee fee proposals, manage scopes, schedules, and budgets, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.
  • Provide technical oversight, mentorship, and professional development guidance to support team growth and project success.
  • Conduct site visits, review existing conditions, and support construction inspections as needed.
  • Collaborate with project support staff on project setup, invoicing, forecasting, and closeout to ensure strong project administration.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, regulatory submittals, and client deliverables to ensure a high level of quality and consistency.
Requirements
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) license (required).
  • Extensive experience in land development engineering/design, permitting, and regulatory processes.
  • Proven success managing complex projects, multidisciplinary teams, and client relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience with proposal development, contract administration, and project financial management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • A passion for mentoring, developing teams, and contributing to long‑term practice growth.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (AEC Industry) and a minimum of 6 years of related professional experience, or 10 years of equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience includes a track record of expanding project management duties.
  • Proven experience in project management roles, focusing on managing larger‑scale projects or programs.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, with the ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and documentation.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
  • Effective problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills to manage contracts, scope changes, and stakeholder agreements effectively.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles to effectively manage project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation.
  • Master’s Degree in a related field (AEC Industry) preferred.
  • Ability to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Risk Training and pass the PM Board within 6 months of the start date.
