Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead design projects through planning, design, and construction. You will manage a design team, coordinate with clients, and ensure schedules and budgets are met to deliver high-quality outcomes.

The role requires PE licensure and strong communication skills, with experience in land development, permitting, and client relations. Florida experience is preferred, and a Master’s degree is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (AEC Industry) with 6 years of experience or 10 years of equivalent experience.
  • Track record expanding project management duties across larger-scale projects or programs.
  • Strong organizational, time-management and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interaction.
  • Proficiency with project management software and maintaining comprehensive plans and docs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage design projects from conception through construction.

  • Prepare detailed project proposals and client relations.
  • Ensure schedules, budgets and quality control standards are met.
  • Prepare permit applications and pursue approvals.
  • Provide expert testimony at public meetings/hearings.

Duties, Responsibilities & Other
  • The Senior Project Manager must demonstrate the ability to manage design projects and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project Management experience required, with experience in managing and growing a design team preferred.
  • Provide detailed design of various land development projects including residential, commercial, industrial, sediment and stormwater management and utility design (sewer, water, etc.),
  • Experience with land use regulations and permitting required. Experience in Florida preferred.
  • Prepare written technical proposals, assemble teams to meet client criteria, and develop professional relationships.
  • Work with junior staff on production and assist in their professional development.
  • Prepare permit applications and pursue approval.
  • Ensure schedules, budgets, and quality control standards are achieved and maintained.
  • Provide expert testimony at public meetings and hearings.
  • Prepare contract documents suitable for bidding.
  • Perform contract management and billing.
  • Monitor the quality and progress of construction projects.
  • Strong computer skills are required: MS Outlook, Word, and Excel. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Project are a plus.
  • PE is required.
Qualifications

Education and/or Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (AEC Industry) and minimum of 6 years of related professional experience, or 10 years of equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience should include a track record of expanding project management duties.
  • Proven experience in project management roles, with a focus on managing larger‑scale projects or programs.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, with the ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and documentation.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
  • Effective problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills to manage contracts, scope changes, and stakeholder agreements effectively.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles to effectively manage project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation.
Education And/or Work Experience Preferred
  • Master’s Degree in related field (AEC Industry)
Certificates, Licenses, And/or Registrations Required
  • Ability to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Risk Training along with passing the PM Board within 6 months of start date.
