Job summary

GSK Solutions Inc. seeks a Sr. Project Manager to join our client in Lansing, MI for a 12-month engagement.

Lead high-priority IT projects for the Michigan Department of Corrections within the EPMO, coordinating with DTMB teams and agency executives. Responsibilities include scheduling, budgeting, stakeholder communications, change management, and benefits tracking across both Agile and traditional delivery environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager.
• 8+ years of IT project management in a large, complex enterprise.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience with project portfolio management systems and tools (e.g., Clarity).
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience working in state government or public sector environments.

Responsibilities

• Use the State of Michigan’s Project Portfolio Management Tool to prepare schedules, allocate resources, and manage budgets.
• Prepare information for executive and stakeholder presentations.
• Monitor and report project progress, including cost, schedule, scope, resources, quality and risks.
• Communicate with sponsors, teams, program managers and DTMB leadership on project status.
• Foster collaboration between technical and business teams and coordinate interfaces with other agencies.
• Ensure adherence to state methodologies and proper change management processes.
• Maintain alignment of benefits with business cases and update related artifacts.
• Coordinate deliverables and drive accountability across stakeholders.
